The Aptify CM tool should be tested against a non-production environment first before using it to move entities into a production environment. Be sure to back up the production server where you are trying to move entities, to provide a fall-back option, in case a problem occurs during the unpacking process. |
The Aptify CM Tool provides the following functions:
- Pack and unpacking entities and metadata
- Upgrading existing entities
- Moving objects from one Aptify System to another Aptify system
- Include or exclude any object while packing and unpacking
- Validation of data using rules before performing a packing or unpacking action
- Adding validation rules to system based on user requirements
- Automatic detailed logging of packing and unpacking processes, with exceptions being highlighted in red
