The Button Bar component is a container for one or more action buttons that open forms, launch the Find dialog, and switch between dashboards.

Follow these steps to configure a part to use this component:

1. On the General tab of the Dashboard Part form, select the the Button Bar component  component from the the Component field field.
2. Select the the Properties tab tab.
3. Enter a name for the button bar in the the Name field field.
4. Enter a a Description.
5. Select a a Style: either either Left-Right (for horizontal button bars) or or Top-Bottom (for vertical button bars).Button Bar Properties Tab Image Removed

6. Specify a a Button Height and  and Button Width that  that the bar's buttons will use by default.
   
   • The height and width are in pixels.
   • Buttons whose Size Mode is set to Automatic use the default dimensions.
      
7. Specify the the Start Left and  and Start Top positions  positions for the first button in the Button Bar.
   
   • These values, in pixels, determine the position of the first button in the Button Bar.
      
8. Specify the the Space Width and  and Space Height positions positions.
   
   • After using Start Left and Start Top to place the first button, the dashboard uses these values, which are in pixels, to automatically place additional buttons in relation to each other on the button bar.
      
9. By default, the button bar's text is black. You can select a different different Text Color, if desired, by clicking the ellipsis (...) to open a color selection dialog. See "Selecting Dashboard Colors" on page 488.
10. By default, the button bar's background color is gray. You can select a different different Back Color, if desired, by clicking the ellipsis (...) to open a color selection dialog. See "Selecting Dashboard Colors" on page 488.
11. Click the the Buttons tab tab.
    
    • If prompted,

2. Add one or more buttons to the button bar (see "Adding a Dashboard Button" on page 474 for  for details).
3. After adding buttons to the bar, rearrange the order of the buttons as necessary.

2. Click the the Comments tab  tab and add any additional information that you want to record concerning this button bar.
3. Click Click OK to  to save the Dashboard Button Bar record and return to the dashboard layout.
4. Click Click OK to  to save the Dashboard Parts record.
