1. Create a new domain account or identify an existing domain with a valid license account to use on the e-Business server.
   • This is the user account that the e-Business server will use to communicate with the Aptify database server.

2. Add the designated domain account as a trusted user in Aptify, with the appropriate privileges.
   • Note that this user must be assigned a valid user license to successfully communicate with the database server.
   • You must link this account to an Employees record.
   • The specific permission set required for the e-Business user depends on the type of user activity that will be conducted on your website. For testing and development environments that use Aptify sample data, add the e-Business user to the Users group.

3. Using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, back up the APTIFY database before continuing.
4. Log in to the Web server that will host the e-Business site with an account that is an administrator on that server.
   • If using Windows Integrated Security (i.e., using a trusted user based on Windows credentials) when installing the e-Business site, you must be logged in as a trusted user with system administrative privileges (in other words, your user needs to be in the computer's Administrators group). 
5. Install the Aptify Windows Desktop client on the e-Business server. See Installing the Aptify Desktop Client.
    
6. Download the APTIFY_552_eBiz_FULLSETUP installation ZIP file for your release to a folder on the computer and unzip its contents.

   • e-Business 5.5.2: APTIFY_552_eBiz_FULLSETUP.zip

   • Run the installation program locally on the computer; do not run it over the network.
      
     
     
7. Browse to the location of the installation files and right-click on the Setup application (look for the Setup file with the Aptify "A" icon). SelectSelect Run as Administrator to launch the installation program.
   • The Run as Administrator option bypasses the server's User Access Control (UAC) for the duration of the installation.
      
     
8. When prompted, enter login information for the database server, specifying an account with system administrator privileges (such as sa).
   • If you are logging in as a trusted user based on Windows credentials, select Use Windows Integrated Security.
   • If you are logging in as an untrusted user using SQL server security, select Specify a User Name and Password. 
      
     
9. Click OK to continue.

10. Review the information on the Welcome screen and click Next to continue.

11. Review the set of requirements to install e-Business. If your environment does not meet one or more of the specified requirements, clickCancel to abort the installation. Otherwise, click Next to continue.

2. The installer verifies that the objects in the setup program's Bin folder matches the objects in your Aptify system, which is one requirement to ensure a successful installation. If the installer detects that there is an object mismatch, it automatically synchronizes its Bin folder with the objects from your Aptify database. In that case, you will see a dialog that displays the progress of the synchronization process. When prompted, close the setup program and relaunch it to start over using the updated objects.

• However, in some cases, objects may already be in use by the installer so they cannot be overwritten. If this occurs, you will see a message like the one shown below: e-Business Setup Validation Image Removed

Perform the following steps if the above dialog box displays:

1. 1. Review the contents of the dialog box and write down the name and version number of any files you need to update. Then, click OK and close all relevant dialog boxes and exist from the setup program.
   2. On a computer that hosts your Aptify Desktop client, navigate to the Program Files > Aptify 5.0 folder on the C: drive.
   3. Locate the files identified in the dialog box in C:\Program Files\Aptify 5.0 and confirm that the version number of the files in the Program Files folder matches what was displayed in the dialog.
   4. Copy these versions of the files from C:\Program Files\Aptify 5.0 to two folders in the Aptify e-Business 5.5.2 Setup program: Bin and Bin\Bootfiles.
   5. Restart the setup program and continue until the installer displays the IIS Installation Details screen.
2. In the Specify Installation Details screen, select the CMS Site option.
3. Select the Configure IIS and Update Web.config option.
4. Specify the trusted user account that you want to use for the e-Business website in the e-Business User field.
5. Enter the password for this user in the e-Business PWD and Confirm Password fields.

8. Specify the location where the e-Business website files should be installed on the Web server in the Website Location field.
   • This is the location where you created the Sitefinity site
