Unpacking the Informz Integration CM Pack

  • Download updated AptifyGenericEntity.dll assembly, click here to download.
  • Paste the downloaded assembly in Client Installation Folder/Path and in Aptify Object Repository Object.

  1. Go to Aptify Smart Client, Add the same updated assembly in Object Repository Object and restart the Aptify Smart Client.
  2. After restart, ensure that the updated assembly is present in Object Repository Object.
  3. Copy and paste the InformzPack.cmpack file to the computer where you have installed the Aptify CM Tool.

  4. In the Windows Desktop, click the CM Tool icon to launch the Aptify CM Tool. 

    Note

    Ensure that the user running the Aptify CM Tool has the permission to create/update entities. A system administrator level user is required for such a task.

  5. In the Configuration Migration Utility screen, select the Open Configuration for Unpacking option and click OK.
  6. In the Pack Path field of the Folder Selection section, enter the path for Informz integration Pack (InformzPack.cmpack) and click the UnPack button.



  7. If the CM Tool displays notifications about the difference in version and some validation failures, ignore these and continue unpacking.
  8. When the Completion Message is displayed, the CM Tool has completed unpacking the Informz Integration Pack.
  9. Click OK to close the completion message. Aptify should now have all of the components required for the Informz integration. 
  10. To verify that all of the components required for Informz Integration are present, see Verifying the Unpacked Items.

 By following these steps, all the required components for Informz are now in place and it is configured to update the prospect list automatically based on the scheduled task frequency.

Informz uses Aptify Web Services API to access the Aptify system. After the installation, please take care of the following:
1. Domain URL for Aptify Web - This is in the format https://mysite.com. Do not include /AptifyServicesAPI/services/Authentication/Login/DomainWithContainer/ at the end as Informz application automatically appends that. If Aptify Web service API is not running at /AptifyServicesAPI/services/, there will be connection issues.
2. Domain Username and Password - SQL username and password will cause connection issues as Informz assumes /Login/DomainWithContainer/ on the authentication request.

Do not include special characters in the Password such as quotation marks (“), apostrophe (‘), ampersand (&), less-than (<), and greater-than (>), as Informz application does not encode the password causing connection issues.
