This service stores calendar-related parameters for the system's Calendar Views. The system creates these records automatically when a user creates a new calendar view. See the Using Calendar Views chapter in the Aptify User Guide for information on how to create a calendar view and for information on all of the available calendar view options.
Attachments Tab
The Attachments tab lists any files relevant to the Calendar Views record.
General Tab
View (Required)
The calendar view to which this record applies. This field links to the Views service.
Mode (Required)
Determines the calendar layout to display. Options include:
- Day View
- 5-Day Work Week
- 7-Day Work Week
- Single Month
- Multiple Months
First Visible Date Type (Required)
Determines the date to display when opening the view, either the first date in the filter date range (Automatic option) or the date specified in the First Visible Date field (Manual option).
First Visible Date
Specifies the date to display when the calendar view is opened. Only applicable when First Visible Date Type is set to Manual.
Time Slot Interval
For single day and 5-day workweek views, determines the level of detail to display in the calendar view. Options include 15 minutes, 30 minutes, and 60 minutes.
Num Visible Days
Determines the number of days that appear in the single day view. The default value is 1.
Start Date Field (Required)
The field in the service that specifies the start time for calendar items.
Duration Mode (Required)
Specifies how to determine the duration of calendar items. Options include Standard Duration (all items use the same default duration), End Date Field (specify an End Date Field that indicates an end time for the calendar item), and Duration Field (specify a Duration Field that indicates a calendar item's duration).
Standard Duration (Hours)
Specifies the default duration (in hours) to use for all calendar items. Only applicable when Duration Mode is set to Standard Duration.
End Date Field
The field in the service that specifies the end time for calendar items. Only applicable when Duration Mode is set to End Date Field.
Duration Field
The field in the service that specifies the length of time shown for calendar items. Only applicable when Duration Mode is set to Duration Field.
Title Field
The field in the service to use as the title for calendar items.
Grouping Style
Determines appearance of calendar view if the view contains multiple owners with multiple appointments. The options are as follows:
- No Grouping: Grouping not specified.
- Appointment Owners Shown Within Each Day
- Dates Shown Within Each Appointment Owner Grouping
Group Field
This indicates the field by which calendar items are grouped, if a Grouping Style is selected.
Back Color
For single day and 5-day workweek views, this is the background color for the calendar. The system converts the color selected by the user to its corresponding ARGB value.
Idle Time Back Color
For single day and 5-day workweek views, this is the background color for the indicator bar to the right of the time column. The indicator bar is blue for the duration of a calendar item. For unscheduled time (that is, idle time) the indicator bar is the specified color. calendar. The system converts the color selected by the user to its corresponding ARGB value.
Working Hours Back Color
For single day and 5-day workweek views, this background color indicates standard working hours (from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday). The system converts the color selected by the user to its corresponding ARGB value.
Non-Working Hours Back Color
For single day and 5-day workweek views, this background color indicates non-working hours (basically, any time that is not 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday). The system converts the color selected by the user to its corresponding ARGB value.
Appointment Shadow
For single day and 5-day workweek views, when selected, a shadow appears below appointments on the calendar.
Current Time Indicator
For single day and 5-day workweek views, when selected, a horizontal line appears in the time column to indicate the current time.
