Each Matrix record specifies a shipping rate calculation that may be applied to an order shipment. See Adding Matrix Records for information on creating a Matrix record.

Attachments Tab

The Attachments tab lists any files relevant to the Shipping Type Matrix record.

Children Tab

If this Matrix record is a parent for other Matrix records, those child Matrix records appear on this tab.

Comments Tab

The Comments tab contains any comments relevant to the Shipping Type Matrix record.

General Tab

Shipment Type (Required)

Specifies the Shipment Type to which this Matrix record applies. This field links to the Shipment Type service.

Parent

If this record is a child of another Matrix record, the parent record appears in this field.

Rank

Specifies the rank for the Shipping Type Matrix. The system evaluates Matrix records of the same level in rank order.

Name (Required)

The name of the Shipping Type Matrix.

Currency Type

The Currency Type field indicates the currency for this record's shipping charges. This field is only required if Shipping Charge, Shipping Cost, and Handling Charge are not zero.

Calculation Type (Required)

The Calculation Type field indicates the how shipping charges are calculated: Per Unit or Actual Value.

Charges Include Tax

The Charges Include Tax field specifies if the amounts you entered in the Shipping Charge and the Handling Charge fields already include any applicable taxes.

Shipping Charge (Required)

The dollar amount charged to the customer for shipping (either the actual value or the per unit charge).

Shipping Cost (Required)

The dollar amount it costs the organization to ship the product (either the actual value or the per unit charge).

Handling Charge (Required)

The dollar amount charged to the customer for handling (either the actual value or the per unit charge).

Quantity Tab

Use Quantity (Required)

Select this option to include quantity as a criteria for matching this matrix record with an order shipment.

Quantity Lower Bound

Specifies the lower bound for an order shipment's quantity to match this matrix record. The amount in the Quantity Lower Bound field is inclusive.

Quantity Upper Bound

Specifies the upper bound for an order shipment's quantity to match this matrix record. The amount indicated in the Quantity Upper Bound field is exclusive.

Ship To Tab

Use Ship To (Required)

Select this option to include an order shipment's Ship To address as a criteria for matching this matrix record with an order shipment.

Ship To Scope

Indicates the scope of the Shipping Type Matrix.

• Country: The Sales Tax Matrix is applicable to the Country indicated only. Enter a Ship To Country in the field provided.
• State/Province: The Sales Tax Matrix is applicable to the specified State or Province. Enter a Ship To Country and State/Province in the fields provided.
• County: The Sales Tax Matrix is applicable to the specified County. Enter a Ship To Country, State/Province, and County in the fields provided.
• City: The sales tax is applicable to the specified City. Enter a Ship To Country, State/Province, and City in the fields provided.
• Postal Code: The sales tax is applicable to the specified Postal Code. Enter a Ship To Country, State/Province, and Postal Code in the fields provided.

Weight Tab

Use Weight (Required)

Select this option to include weight as a criteria for matching this matrix record with an order shipment.

Weight Units

This field indicates whether the weight is measured in Pounds or Kilograms.

Weight Lower Bound

Specifies the lower bound for an order shipment's weight to match this matrix record. The amount in the Weight Lower Bound field is inclusive.

Weight Upper Bound

Specifies the upper bound for an order shipment's weight to match this matrix record. The amount in the Weight Upper Bound field is exclusive.
