This topic lists the view types and functions that are not supported in the Aptify web interface.

Unsupported View Types

The following view types are not supported in the Aptify web interface, version 5.5.1 and up:

• Gantt

• Pivot Tables

  Aptify 5.5.4 adds the Pivot Grid view to provide similar functionality to the Pivot Table view in the web interface. See Using Pivot Grid Views in the Web Interface for more information.

Unsupported View Functions

The following view functions are not supported in the Aptify web interface, broken down by release:

Aptify 5.5.5

• Advanced SQL: As in the Desktop client, the Advanced (SQL) tab shows the exact SQL syntax for list list view on the view’s Properties, however in the web interface, this syntax is not editable.
• Defining View Hierarchies: Defining View Hierarchies is not supported.
• Sorting and Page Size: Changes made to sorting and page size within a view do not persist when a view is closed and reopened.
• View Templates: Creating view templates, editing them and using them to create a new view through the Aptify web interface is not supported.
• Configuring Auto-Refresh: The ability to configure a view to refresh automatically at the specified time interval is not supported.
• Full Text Index Support for Prompt Views: Full Text index support for Prompt Views is not supported.
• In Place Edit for List Views: The Edit In Place feature is not supported.
• Configuring Templates for a Preview Pane: The ability to configure templates for Aptify's preview pane functionality is not supported in this release.

• Emailing Scheduled View Results: The use of Microsoft Outlook to automatically email scheduled view results is not supported. If your users want to send view results to email recipients automatically using the Aptify web interface, Aptify strongly recommends that an SMTP‐based messaging system be used, such as the SMTP‐based Dot Net Mail and Dot Net Mail SMTP Client systems.

• Copying Views: Copying of views is not supported.
• Deleting Views: Deleting of views is not supported.

• Configuring Templates for a Preview Pane: The ability to configure templates for Aptify's preview pane functionality is not supported in this release.
• Configuring a View to Run at a Later Time (Scheduled View): The ability to configure a view to run on a specified delay/at a designated time is not supported in this release.
• Dollar Sign In Card Views: The dollar sign $ does not display correctly in this release for Card Views.
• Decimal Formatting in Card Views: This release does not support decimal formatting for Card views.
• Editing or Modifying Views: Editing or modifying an existing view is only supported for List views in this release.
