About Advanced Filtering Logic in the Web Interface

This topic provides an overview of the implementation of the Advanced Filtering Logic in the Aptify web interface, and compares it's functionality to the Advanced Filtering Logic in the Aptify Desktop client. See Using Views in the Web Interface for more information about using views in Aptify web.

Implementation by Release

The changes in the implementation of the Advanced Filtering Logic are listed by release in the following tabs:

Aptify 5.5.4

  • Advanced users and Administrators can create views that combine advanced filtering to display desired results. 
  • Views created through the Aptify web interface are optimized by default (Optimized Sub-Queries option), however a user can modify this by clearing the Optimize Sub-Queries option on the view’s Filter tab. See Defining View Filters for more details about this option.
  • The design of the NOT filter logic is modified to improve usability, which allows it to be set at the top, group, and individual levels. This enables the filter to be used in more complex view filtering statements.
