General Tab

Name

The name of the credit card type (for example, Visa, Mastercard, etc.).

The description of the credit card type.

Is Active

When checked, this credit card type is available throughout the system.

IINRanges Tab

Lists the Issuer Identification Number (IIN) range for this credit card type. This helps the system determine, when a credit card number is entered, the type of card specified. The valued entered is the start of the range. For example, Visa currently issues cards starting with 4 and supports the entire 4 series, so there is one record with a value of 4. Other cards do not issue cards within the entire series. For example, starting in 2017, Mastercard will issue cards starting with 222100. In this case, entering 2 as the range is not sufficient. Instead, the range begins with 2221 and additional records are added for 2222, 2223, etc.
