About the Surveys (Question Trees) Form

Each Surveys record represents a different survey in Aptify.

Applied Style Sheets Tab

This tab lists the cascading style sheets used to format the appearance of the survey on the e-Business web site.

Survey Style Sheet

The name of the Survey Style Sheet used to format the survey's appearance on the e-Business web site. This field links to the corresponding Survey Style Sheets record.

Start Date

The date and time at which the style sheet is applied to the survey. If blank, Aptify uses the Start and End Dates specified within the corresponding Survey Style Sheets record.

End Date

The date and time at which the style sheet is no longer applied to the survey. If blank, Aptify uses the Start and End Dates specified within the corresponding Survey Style Sheets record.

Delivery Types Tab

This sub-type links to the Survey Delivery Type service (see About the Survey Delivery Types Form).

Survey Delivery Type (required)

Specifies the name of a delivery type used by the survey. This links to the corresponding Survey Delivery Types record.

Access Password

Specifies an optional password that a user needs to enter before the user can take the survey on the E-Business Web site. This field is applicable when the delivery type is set to Web. Note that this password is not case sensitive.

General Tab

Name (required)

The name of the survey. This name appears within the Survey Center (also known as the Survey List) on the e-Business web site.

Max Questions Per Page

Specifies the maximum number of questions per page. By default, this value is 5. Note that some pages may have less than the maximum number if you enable the Check Answers or Page Break options for any Survey Questions.

Start Date

The date and time at which users can begin to take the survey.

End Date

The date and time at which the survey becomes unavailable to web users.

Allow Partial Completion

When enabled, web users can save their answers to a survey without first completing it. Users can then return at a later time and continue the survey from the point at which they left off. Note that you must enable Allow Partial Completion if you want to use the Force Save option for any Survey Question within the survey.

Allow Duplicates

When enabled, a web user can take the same survey multiple times. When disabled, Aptify prohibits a Web user who is logged into the e-Business web site from taking the survey more than once.

Root Question Branch

The ID of the first Survey Question in the survey.

Category (required)

The survey's category type. This field links to the corresponding Survey Categories record.

Capture Mode (required)

The survey's capture mode. This field links to the corresponding Survey Capture Modes record.

Tracking Type (required)

The survey's tracking type. This field links to the corresponding Survey Tracking Types record.

Status (required)

The survey's status. This field links to the corresponding Survey Status record.

Description

An optional description of the survey. This description appears on the Survey List within the e-Business web site.

Erase Message (required)

The text of the message that appears on the e-Business web site when a user changes a Answer Logic selection that impacts the order of survey questions. See About the Erase Message for details.
