If you have install the Aptify setup as a local administrator and not a domain user, the following message will appear during the setup:

Populating the domain user-related Authentication Providers records ensure that when a user with Windows credentials logs into the Aptify site, they are logged in successfully. However, if you install Aptify with a local administrator, it cannot populate this information automatically. In this case, the following steps are required:

  1. Log into Aptify Desktop client with a user account with administrator privileges.
  2. Navigate to the Web Services application and then the Authentication Providers service.
  3. Open the Domain User record.
  4. Go to the Authentication Providers Attributes tab and populate the following fields:
    • AptifyServer: The name of the database server (no domain)
    • AptifyEntityDatabase: The Aptify entity database (typically APTIFY)
    • AptifyUserDatabase: The Aptify user database (typically APTIFY)
    • WindowsDomain: Your organization’s windows domain

  5. Save and close the record.
  6. Open the Domain User (with container) record.
  7. Go to the Authentication Providers Attributes tab and populate the same values in the attributes as the step above.
