Access the Schools record from the Courses service by right-clicking in the Schools tab and selecting New. A window displays.

Enter any comments regarding the substitute course.

Use this tab to list courses equivalent to this course that are available at another school or institution. For example, if the course at School A is Accounting 101, the equivalent course at School B might be Introduction to Accounting. Taking either of these courses fulfills the same requirement for certification.
To add a substitute course to the list, right-click on the Course School Substitutes tab and select New. The Course School Substitute record displays.

School Course Name (required)
Enter the name of the substitute course.
Start Date
Enter the start date when this substitute course becomes available.
End Date
When the substitute course is no longer equivalent to the main course, or when the substitute course is no longer available, enter the last date that the courses are equivalent.

Enter the name of the school, institution, or company where the course will be held. (In the case of distance learning, enter the name of the institution sponsoring the course.) Use the Find feature to locate the school within the Companies service, or click the School link to create a new Companies record.

Enter the name of the contact person at this school. Use the Find feature or click the Contact link to create a new Persons record.

Select the status of the school in relation to offering this course. Options are Active, Inactive, Expired, or Cancelled. The default is Active.
