When you need to authenticate against the Aptify Services API using Web User names and passwords, you must set up Web User authentication.

Info

In some distributions of Aptify Web in Aptify 5.5.2 or lesser, the spValidateWebUser Database Object is missing and must be created.

SQL: spValidateWebUser_20141017.txt

Grant SQL: GRANT EXECUTE ON spValidateWebUser TO [_cgi_AptifySOAAppPoolGroup]

  6. In Aptify 5.5.1 and the GA release of Aptify Web, disabling ASP.NET Impersonation authentication will cause problems with logging in to Aptify Web. We recommend setting up a separate Services site for Web User authentication in this case. It should use the same Aptify database as everything else.

In Aptify 5.5.2, Aptify Web authentication should behave correctly with only Anonymous authentication enabled.

Ensure that Anonymous Authentication is Enabled and all other methods are Disabled.
