In Aptify, orders are requests to supply products to customers in return for payment. Orders may be placed by individuals or companies. Products in Aptify may be objects (simple products), objects grouped in a specific way (kits), meeting registrations, exposition booths, or other items. This chapter discusses the most common order creation processes and covers these topics:

  • Entering Customer and Order Information: This section describes the customer information that is specified on an order.
  • Adding and Editing Order Lines: This section describes how to add and edit an order line for a product and how to an order a kit product, which is a bundle of two or more products.
  • Specifying Shipping Information: This section describes how to specify a shipping method for the order so shipping charges can be calculated properly prior to applying initial payment information.
  • Specifying an Initial Payment: This section describes how to specify an initial payment for an order, and it provides an overview of how the Order Entry system determines if a Person or Company has available credit to place an order without paying for it in full.
  • Adding Invoice Messages: This section describes how to add one or more messages that can appear on an invoice printed for an order.
  • Initial Order Save Overview: This section describes what happens to an Orders record after you save it for the first time.
  • Editing Taken Orders: This section provides an overview of the types of changes you can make to a saved order with an Order Status of Taken.
  • Quotation Orders: This section describes how to create a quotation order.
  • Using the New Order Wizard: This section describes the steps to complete the New Order Wizard.
  • Entering a Complimentary Order: This section describes how to create a complimentary order.
  • Using the Bulk Order Wizard: This section describes how to create multiple orders in a single operation using the Bulk Order wizard.
  • Ordering Other Types of Products: This section provides links to other areas of the -documentation that describes how to place orders for specific product types, such as -subscriptions, meetings, and expos.
