About Server Types License Keys

Aptify provides license keys for several Server Types. The specific keys provided to your organization depend on the terms of your organization's License Agreement with Aptify. The available Server Types include:

• Production: This type corresponds to keys for use on a production environment.
• Development: This type corresponds to keys for use in a development environment.
• Test: This type corresponds to keys for use on a test environment.
• Archival: This type corresponds to keys for use on an archive server that stores historical Aptify data.
• Replication: This type corresponds to keys for use on a replicated instance of the main Aptify production server.

Once a key file of a particular Server Type has been imported into Aptify, an administrator can only import additional keys of the same Server Type. For example, if you import Development keys to a server, that server becomes a Development environment from the perspective of Aptify licensing. An administrator can then only import additional Development keys to that server. Attempts to import keys of another server type will fail (such as trying to import Test keys to a Development environment).
