About Determining Inflow

The Inflow field in the Payment Types record tracks whether the payment type results in an inflow of cash. Most payment types have this option selected. The Purchase Order payment type does not, because it is a promise to pay rather than an actual payment.

If the Inflow option is selected, the payment type is available in the Payments service and the Orders service. If the option is not selected, it is available in the Orders service and not the Payments service.
