The License Import wizard communicates with Aptify over a web service to validate license information. If you do not have an Internet connection or if the web service is unavailable for any reason, you can still import your licenses as temporary licenses that are valid for 5 days.
If you do not have an available internet connection and will not have one before the expiration date of the temporary licenses, you should manually authorize the license keys at the time of import by selecting the Call Aptify's Customer Support to Manually Authorize option described below to manually authorize license keys.
If you have previously imported licensing to the server and the Aptify Licensing Web Service is unavailable, only the Import Licenses and Remove Existing Licenses from Server options are available. You must be able to communicate with the Aptify Licensing Web Service to move licenses between servers.
If the license import fails due the unavailability of the Aptify Licensing Web Service, the following screen appears with with three options.
The available options are as follows:
- Import Now and Authorize Later: Select this option if you want to import the license keys as temporary licenses and authorize them through the Aptify Licensing Web Service within the next 5 days. See for details. Select the Next button to import the licenses as temporary.
- Call Aptify's Customer Support to Manually Authorize: Select this option if you have obtained or plan to call to obtain a valid authorization code from Aptify Customer support. Select the Next button to display instructions for contacting Customer Support. Once a valid authorization code is obtained, enter the code in the Authorization Code field as shown below, and select Next to import the license keys.
- Don't Import and Quit License Manager: Select this option if you want to cancel the license import process. Selecting the Next button cancels the wizard without importing licenses.
