This release of the Aptify Web interface includes support for the Customer Management application, such as the ability to create, open, and edit Persons, Companies, Contact Logs, and Tasks.

Note

The following Customer Management services have been implemented for the Aptify Web interface in Aptify 5.5.1. All other services related to this application have limited support.

  • Persons
  • Companies
  • Contact Logs
  • Tasks
  • Address flowdown when linking a Person to a Company

This release of Aptify does not support the following Customer Management features found in the Aptify Desktop client:

  • Contact Log/Outlook Integration: Outlook Appointments and/or Outlook Tasks are not generated for Contact Log entries added via Aptify.
  • Account Manager Transfer Wizard: This wizard will not be supported in this release.
  • Postal Code Lookup: In this release, the postal code look-up functionality is not supported.
  • Most Recently Used: In this release, when a user opens any Persons record, the MRU list displays the Persons record that was opened as well as any related link records, for example the associated Company record.
  • Topic Code Selection: In this release, a user can check or uncheck individual topic codes, but the ability to select all or unselect all is not supported.

Note

In some instances when a Persons record is updated using the web interface, the user may need to save and reload the record to display the changes.

New Membership Wizard

The New Membership wizard, which is used to facilitate the process of enrolling companies and individual members, is available in this release of Aptify. See "Using the New Membership Wizard" in the "Ordering Subscriptions and Dues Products" section of the Subscriptions & Dues Management Guide for more details.

Note

When new Dues Products are added, or existing products are modified, regenerate the entity metadata for the Membership Enrollment entity to ensure that product drop-down in the New Membership wizard is up to date.

Creating Persons Records

Primary Function: When creating a new Persons record, if Primary Function is selected from the drop-down, the corresponding function in the multi-entity grid is not automatically checked. So, it is not saved as a function sub type record when Person record is saved. If you manually check the corresponding function in the multi-entity grid, it can be saved as a function sub type record.
