About the Warehouse User Subscribed Applications
The Warehouse User profile is subscribed to two applications by default: Inventory and Shipping. Each application has its own dashboard that provides access to information that is important to an organization's shipping and receiving users.
Inventory Application
The Warehouse user subscribes to the Inventory Locations, Product Inventory Ledgers, Product Inventory Ledger Entries and Products services by default in the Inventory application. Note that a user can add or remove services as necessary using the Application Services dialog. (See Adding and Removing Services for details.)
The dashboard for the Inventory application includes the following elements from top to bottom:
- Products With Inventory: This is a list view of all inventory-based products. The view includes hierarchies that displays related product inventory ledger and inventory on order information for a particular product.
- Product Inventory Locations: This is a list view of all inventory locations. The view includes a hierarchy that displays the ledger inventory records for products related to a particular locations.
- Products Low on Inventory: This is a list view of all products with inventory levels below the required re-order amount. The view includes a hierarchy that displays product inventory ledger records related to a particular product.
Shipping Application
The Warehouse user subscribes to the Shipment Types and Orders services by default in the Inventory application. Note that a user can add or remove services as necessary using the Application Services dialog. (See Adding and Removing Services for details.)
The dashboard for the Shipping application includes the following elements from top to bottom:
- Orders Requiring Fulfillment: This is a list view of orders that are ready to ship (that is orders that have not yet shipped with at least one order line that requires fulfillment). The view also includes a hierarchy that displays related order line information for a particular order. This view automatically refreshes every hour.
- Backorders Ready for Fulfillment: This is a list view of backorders that have not yet shipped with at least one order line that requires fulfillment. The view also includes a hierarchy that displays related order line information for a particular order.
- Cancellation Orders: A list view of pending returns. It displays cancellation orders that have not yet been shipped. The view also includes a hierarchy that displays the related order line information for a particular order.
