Configuring Employee Order Entry Permissions
The Order Entry Permissions section at the bottom of an employee's Details tab provides an administrator with the ability to configure the order entry experience for a particular employee, assuming that these permissions have not already been set at the Organization level (as described in Configuring Order Entry Permissions for an Organization's Employees). Many of the same configuration options are also available at the Products level. The Order Entry Permissions are:
- Allow Price Override: Select this option to allow the employee to override the prices of all products with any amount. If this option is selected, it overrides any selections on the individual Product records.
 - Allow Price Selection: Select this option to allow the employee to select a price from a product-specific list during order entry. If this option is selected, it overrides any selections on the individual Product records.
 - Allow Free: Select this option to allow the employee to specify a price of 0.00 for all products during order entry. If this option is selected, it overrides any selections on the individual Product records.
 - Allow Related Product Prompt Close: Select this option to allow the employee to close the Related Product prompt during order entry. This field is not applicable if this option is selected at the organization level (the employee will have the ability to close the prompt regardless of this field's setting). If this option is not checked at either the employee or organization level, the employee cannot close the Related Product Prompt that may appear on the order form without adding the related product as a line item to the order, selecting a different order line on the same order, or closing the order.
 - Allow Prerequisites Override: If selected, this option allows the employee to override products that are configured with prerequisites. When an employee has override permissions, a confirmation dialog displays so that an order taker can choose to add the product to the order as needed. See Managing Basic Products for more details.

Do not use the Employees service to set permissions for all employees of an organization, or to configure pricing options for individual products. If permissions are given at the organization level, that overrides settings on the employee level.
