About the Fundraising Campaign Match Rules Form

This service stores the available match rules that can be applied to pledges to automatically create matching pledges.

Calculation Tab

Calculation Type (Required)

This field indicates how the match calculation should be performed. Options include:

• Percentage: The qualifying pledge is matched by the percent specified in the Match Percent field.
• Fixed Amount: The qualifying pledge is matched by the amount specified in the Fixed Amount field.
• Rule Table: The amount of a pledge match is calculated based on the ranges specified on the Rule Ranges tab.
• Manual: This option indicates that users manually specify the amount of the match on the qualifying Pledges record prior to launching the Pledge Matching wizard.
• Object: This option is reserved for future use.

Pledge Minimum

The minimum pledge amount that qualifies for matching. Note that this field is expressed in the currency type of the match rule.

Pledge Maximum

The maximum pledge amount that qualifies for matching. Note that this field is expressed in the currency type of the match rule.

Campaign Minimum

A Fundraising Campaign's Total Raised must be at least this minimum amount before pledges qualify for matching. Note that this field are expressed in the currency type of the campaign.

Campaign Maximum

Once a Fundraising Campaign's Total Raised is greater than this amount, pledges no longer qualify for matching. Note that this field are expressed in the currency type of the campaign.

Match Percent

If the Calculation Type is Percentage, this field indicates the percentage of the pledge that is matched.

Fixed Amount

If the Calculation Type is Fixed Amount, this field indicates the amount of the pledge match. Note that this field is expressed in the currency type of the match rule.

Rule Text

If the Calculation Type is Manual, this field specifies information about how the match amount should be manually calculated.

Match Object

This field is reserved for future use.

Match Class

This field is reserved for future use.

General Tab

Name

The name of the match rule.

Description

A description of the match rule.

Campaign (Required)

The Fundraising Campaign to which the match applies. This field links to the Fundraising Campaigns service.

Currency Type (Required)

The currency in which matching pledges will be expressed. This field links to the Currency Types service.

Solicitor (Required)

The Fundraising Campaign Solicitor responsible for obtaining this campaign match.

Match Company

If a company has agreed to match pledges, this field identifies that company. It links to the Companies service.

Match Contact (Required)

If an individual is matching pledges, then this field identifies that individual. If a company is matching pledges, then this field identifies a contact at that company. This field links to the Persons service.

Target Company (Required)

Pledges from employees of this company qualify for matching. This field links to the Companies service.

Target Contact

A contact at the Target Company. This field links to the Persons service.

Status (Required)

The match rule's current Status: Active or Inactive.

Start Date (Required)

The Start Date for the match rule.

End Date

The End Date for the match rule.

Matching Pledges Tab

This tab stores information about the pledges created by the Pledge Matching wizard due to this Fundraising Campaign Match Rule.

Rule Ranges Tab

If the Calculation Type is set to Rule Table, this tab specifies the amount to match based on the pledge's value. See About the Rule Ranges Form.
