System Requirements for Aptify 5.5.1

Database Server

Your Aptify database server must meet the following basic requirements before running the Installer:

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008, 2008 R2 or 2003 (SP2 or higher)
  • Aptify 5.5 database deployed and active in MS SQL Server 2008/MS SQL Server 2008 R2

 

Note Concerning SQL Server 2012

As of the release of Aptify 5.5.1 in December 2012, Aptify has not completed a full round of testing using Aptify 5.5.1 with Microsoft SQL Server 2012. However, Aptify has conducted preliminary testing, and no compatibility issue has been identified. If you are interested in using SQL Server 2012 with Aptify 5.5.1, please contact the Support team for the latest SQL 2012 support statement.

Note Concerning Support for Windows Server 2012 and Windows 8

As of December 2012 we have not tested Windows Server 2012. If you are interested in using Windows Server 2012 with Aptify 5.5.1, please contact the Support team for the latest Windows 2012 support statement. 

Note Concerning Non-Aptify Named Databases

If your Aptify database is named something other than APTIFY, additional steps are required prior to installing Aptify 5.5.1. Please contact the Support team for the more information.

Application Server

Aptify 5.5.1 includes updated application server functionality in a new release of the Aptify Asynchronous Processor. See the Applying the AptifyAsyncProcessor.exe Update section for details.

See System Requirements for Application Servers for more information on the software and hardware requirements to support an Application Server for executing asynchronous process flow runs and scheduled tasks. An organization can deploy 1 to n application servers, depending on utilization and load.

e-Business Server Requirements

The software and hardware requirements to support an Aptify e-Business Server for web presence and online transactions are described in the e-Business System Requirements.

Aptify Web Interface Requirements

Aptify provides a web browser-based interface. Using a standard web browser, a user can connect to Aptify over the Internet and access the same user profile that is available when using the Windows Desktop client. The software and hardware requirements to support an Aptify web server are described in the System Requirements for the Aptify Web Interface.

Installation Computer

The computer on which you will run the Installer must meet the following basic requirements:

  • Aptify Windows desktop application installed (with 5.5 components and have connected at least once to an Aptify 5.5 database server)
  • Network connection to database server
