This topic lists the software and hardware requirements to support an Application Server for executing asynchronous process flow runs and scheduled tasks. An organization can deploy 1 to n application servers, depending on utilization and load. Ensure that the requirements in this topic are met when preparing to install the Application Server software, 

Hardware Requirements

The following is a list of hardware requirements for a computer that will be configured to be an Application Server:

At a minimum, a computer that can run Windows 2008 Server and IIS Server 7.0 6.0 can also support the e-Business module. However, Aptify recommends that an organization use a computer with the following minimum specifications:

• Dual 3.0 GHz dual-core processor
• 2 GB RAM

Software Requirements

The following is a list of software requirements for a computer that will be configured to be an Application Server:

• Operating System: Windows Server 2012 or Windows Server 2008
• Aptify 6.0 Application Server Component
• Aptify 6.0 Windows Desktop client
• Microsoft .NET Framework v3.5 and 4.5: The Aptify setup program adds .NET Framework 3.5 to a computer if it is not already installed. You must install .NET Framework 4.5 manually if not already installed. You can download the installer here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30653.
• The 32-bit version of the SAP Crystal Reports redistributable should be installed if scheduled views that send out reports are configured on the Application Server. Please contact Aptify Techncial Support if you need this redistributable.
