With spaces, a user can perform actions. By default, these actions including creating and updating a Task record, and create a follow-up contact log. This web form was added for the web interface in Aptify 5.5.2.

Attachments Tab

The Attachments tab lists any files relevant to the Space Actions record. The tab becomes available when the record is initially saved.

General Tab

Name

The name of the space action.

Display Name

The name of this space action as it is displayed.

Description

Describes the purpose of this space action.

Status

If this option is selected, the action is available for use in the Aptify Web interface.

Event Trigger

The type of event that triggers this action. The valid values are New, Updated, and Both. Currently, only New is supported.

Process Flow

The process flow associated with this space action.

Required Authorization

Identifies whether authorization is required to run this action.

Inputs Tab

This tab lists of inputs that are needed to complete the action. For example, when creating a task, the user specified the task name, the date the task was created (determined through the GETDATE() function) and the employee in which the task is assigned.

 
Each Inputs sub-type records includes the following fields:

Name

The name of the input.

Display Name

The name of the input as it displays when using the space action.

Data Type

The type of data. Default values are String, DataTime, Date, Time, Integer, Numeric, Currency, and EntityLink.

Entity Link Entity

When EntityLink is selected as the data type, specifies the entity in which the input is tied to. For example, when creating a Tasks record, one of the inputs is to specific an employee in which the task is assigned to. In this case the AssignedTo input is tied to the Employees service.

Default Value

If specified, the input's default value.

Is Required

When checked, the input is required.

Comments Tab

Input sub-type records also include a Comments tab where additional information can be provided about the spaces action.
