Canceling Booth Assignments

To cancel a booth assignment, cancel the related order either manually or through the Order Cancellation wizard. If the booth purchase is a portion of a multi-line order, perform a partial order cancellation. This is the same process for cancelling any other type of shipped order in Aptify.

See the Cancelling a Shipped Order for instructions.

Note that when you use the wizard, Aptify automatically references the Expo information from the original order so it calculates the appropriate order amount, including the number of units in the booth and any applicable surcharge. If you decide to cancel the order manually, you must enter the number of units in the booth you want to cancel as the quantity for the Expo product to successfully add the order line to the cancellation order. Once added to the cancellation order, Aptify automatically references the Expo information from the original order so it calculates the appropriate order amount, including any applicable surcharge.

Also, if you are canceling a booth assignment on an order that has more than one order line for the same expo (for example, if a company ordered multiple booths), be sure to review the Order Lines record to determine which particular order line you are canceling. Aptify will give you the option to review the original order lines during the cancellation process.

Once the cancellation order has been processed, Aptify automatically clears the booth's Order Information and marks it as unoccupied so other customers can order the booth.

Note that if Expo Priority Points have been previously been awarded for a booth, Aptify also cancels those priority points by creating an Expo Priority Points record with negative points (which also deducts any applicable participation points). See Configuring an Expo to Calculate Priority Points for more details.
