Note Concerning Installing e-Business in a DMZ Environment
The standard Aptify e-Business install uses a domain user to communicate between the e-Business web server and the Aptify Database Server. However, if your e-Business site will run, or is running, in a demilitarized zone (DMZ), you may not be able to use a domain-level trusted user to run an e-Business site. Aptify supports these types of cross-domain installations using a "mirrored accounts" approach. In other words, a pair of local users with matching username and password must exist on both the web server and the database server. Starting with e-Business 5.0 Service Pack 2, Aptify improves support for DMZ installation by automating the local trusted user creation process on the web server. During the DMZ installation, if a local trusted user does not exist (that corresponds with a user on the database server), the e-Business setup program will create the local machine user on the Web Server with the necessary permissions to run the e-Business site. See Installing e-Business in a DMZ Environment for more information about this installation option.
