Opening a View

To view the records in a view, it is necessary to open the view. Other common terminology is run a view, select a view, and launch a view

This topic describes how to open a view, broken down by interface.

  • Web Interface
  • Desktop Client

Web Interface

You can use one of the following methods to open views in the Aptify web interface:

Opening the View from a Service or Entity

  1. Open the Application and the Services Menu by clicking the icon in the top right of the Application Toolbar.
  2. Select the application and the desired service from the menu.
    • Click the Application (Customer Management) under the Applications.

  3. Select the service to display the list of views in that service. (For example Persons). Service/Entity dashboard displays the list of views from the service/entity.
    • Click any View to open the records from the view. (For example, click List View to open the records in the list view).

Opening the View Using the Global Search

Use one of the following methods to open the view from the Global Search.

  • In Aptify Web, type the initial characters in the Global search window, next to ALL. The list of result gets displayed which consists of those characters, along with the MORE option on the right hand side. 

    By default 5 records will be opened, and the system also displays the number of the records matches to the characters.

  • Click MORE to see the more options from the result matches get displayed in separate Search tab. 

Opening the View from Virtual Entity Global Search

  1. Click the drop-down arrow next to All in Global Search window of Aptify web. Upon expanding, scroll down and locate the My Views. 
  2. Select My Views from the result displayed.
  3. Type the name of the View in the search area which requires to be opened. (As you type the relevant resultswould starts getting displayed).
  4. Click the relevant view in the results displayed to open.

    The result narrows down to views only.

Opening the View Using Entity Level Search 

  1. Click an Application in which the view is located.
  2. Click the service/entity.
  3. Click in the entity level search area and type the name of the view.
  4. Records that meets the view's criteria are displayed in the list. Click the relevant view in the displayed result.

Opening the View from Favorite 

To add the view to the Favorites tab, follow these steps:

  1. Open the created view.
  2. Click star (located above the respected view) to add the view in favorite.

    Saving the View in Favorites 

To open a view in the Favorites tab, follow these steps:

  1. Click the Favorites tab, next to the Applications. A list of views is displayed.
  2. Click the view that you want to open.

Desktop Client

  1. Select a service.
    • From the Navigation Bar, use the arrow next to the Home heading to select an Application, then from the arrow next to the Application heading, select a Service. If you select the service name, a list of views in the service also appear in the Display Window.
    • From the Folder List, click the plus sign (+) next to an Application, and then click the plus sign (+) next to a Service to display the list of views in that service. If you select the service name, a list of views in that service also appear in the Display Window.

  2. Select a view. Views are located under each service.
    • From the Navigation Bar, click the arrow next to the Service heading and then click on the view name. Or, with the Service heading selecting in the Navigation Bar, double-click the view's icon in the Display Window.
    • From the Folder List, click the icon or view name in the Folder List. Or, double-click the view's icon in the Display Window. 

  3. The records that meet the view's criteria appear in the Display Window.
