Modifying an Existing View in the Web Interface

In Aptify 5.5.1 and up, you can edit a list view's configuration options from the Properties dialog. The Properties option is located under the More drop-down menu.


Editing View Properties

View Properties allows users to modify many of the view properties that are typically set when a view is created, including:

  • Editing view Name and Description (Aptify 5.5.1 and up)
  • Modifying Fields (Aptify 5.5.1 and up)
  • Modifying Filters (Aptify 5.5.1 and up)
  • Modifying Sorting (Aptify 5.5.1 and up)
  • Adding a view to a folder ((Aptify 5.5.2)

 

Additional Support Considerations for Aptify 5.5.2 and up

Aptify 5.5.2 and up provides limited support for modifying complex views created in the Aptify Desktop client.  For example, if the view created from the Desktop client includes changes to Advanced SQL, those types of changes cannot be modified through the Aptify Web interface since that feature is not yet supported. See About the Web Interface Viewing System for more information about supported view functionality in this release.

Additional Support Considerations for Aptify 5.5.1

  • In Aptify 5.5.1, editing or modifying an existing view is only supported for List Views.
  • Aptify 5.5.1 provides limited support for modifying views created in the Aptify Desktop client. For example, if the view created from the Desktop client includes changes to Advanced SQL, those types of changes cannot be made through Aptify web since that feature is not yet supported.
