Setting the Dashboard Area Position

The dashboard area position is a key factor in the appearance of the dashboard. The position of the area is determined by specifying parameters for the top and left position of the dashboard area.

• The Left Side Position Anchored to another area option positions the area to the right of a specified anchor area.
• The Top Side Position Anchored to another area option positions the area below a specified anchor area.
• The Absolute Position option positions the top or left edge of the area at the exact -position specified (in pixels).
• The Relative Position option is not supported in this release.

The default position for the left side of a dashboard area is 0, and the default position for the top side of a dashboard area is 0, so the dashboard area appears at the top, left corner of the dashboard if no modifications are made.

The following steps illustrate how to set the position of a dashboard area:

1. Select the Position tab on the Dashboard Area form. 
    
2. Select a Left Side Position option.
   
   • Anchored to another area: Select an anchor area from the list of areas -associated with the current dashboard.
   • Absolute Position: Enter a specific position in pixels.
   • Relative: This option is not supported in this release.
3. Select a Top Side Position option.
   
   • Anchored to another area: Select an anchor area from the list of areas -associated with the current dashboard.
   • Absolute Position: Enter a specific position in pixels.
   • Relative: This option is not supported in this release.
4. Click OK to save and close the Dashboard Areas record.
