Creating a New Message Template

Users have the ability to create their own message templates from the Aptify Messaging form. Templates can be configured so that only the creator can use them, or they can be made global so that other users can access them.

  1. Compose a message in the Messaging form. The message may include parts and fields.
  2. Select Save Template As... from the File menu.

    Save Template Dialog
  3. Select the folder where you want to store the message template.
    • Templates are stored in the database and grouped by categories, which display as folders in the Save Template dialog box.

  4. Enter a name in the Save Template As field and enter a Description of the template.
  5. Select the Share Template option to make the template available to all users within the system.
    • Templates with the Share Template option selected will have a scope of Global.
    • Templates with the Share Template option not selected will have a scope of User and only be available to the user who created the template.

Your system administrator can configure the template so that it is available to certain users. See Creating Message Templates for details.

  6. Click Save.
