Using Actions in Spaces

The Actions drop-down menu allows users to perform updates and actions directly from a Spaces post.

For example, a user can create a new Spaces post that includes the creation of a Task, as shown in the image below.

In addition to creating a linked Task, the user can also assign this new task to an Employee. The task can be created directly from Spaces and the post will include links to the task and the Employee record.

The actions supported in the web interface are:

  • Create Task: Creates a new task with specified name and date. You can also assign a particular employee.
  • Task Update: Updates the Percentage Complete on a particular task.
  • Follow Up: Creates a Contact Log for a particular date with the name specified. The records that are mentioned in the post will be linked to the Contact Logs record as well as the Persons record for the user who created the post.
