About Scheduled Transaction Groups

The Scheduled Transaction Groups service exists entirely for performance reasons. Since a single order could require a substantial number of Scheduled Transactions records to be created in order to recognize revenue over a long earn-out period, generating all the Scheduled Transactions records at the time the order is shipped could place a substantial load on the system.

A Scheduled Transaction Group is a single record that has enough information in it to tell the system how to generate the series of scheduled transactions when they are required. See About the Scheduled Transaction Groups Form for information on the data stored in each Scheduled Transaction Groups record.
