About Determining Filters

In many cases, a particular payment type may belong to a single organization or to a sub-set of the organizations that use the Aptify system. To prevent an employee at one organization from inadvertently selecting a payment type that is applicable only to another organization, the Payment Types record includes a Filters tab that specifies who can select this type from the Payment Type drop-down list on Orders, Standing Orders, etc.

When this tab is blank, all employees and all organizations have access to this Payment Type. However, when one or more organizations are specified, then only employees linked to those organization (or to the organizations' child organizations, if selected) can choose this type from the Payment Type drop-down list in Aptify.
