This service, which is located in the Product Setup and Maintenance application, stores a list of industry classification codes that can be used to categorize companies based on the business sectors in which they operate. The form assumes that an organization is using SIC (Standard Industrial Classification) codes, but it can support any classification system required by the organization (such as the NAICS — North American Industrial Classification System).

Attachments Tab

The Attachments tab lists any files relevant to the Product Codes record.

General Tab

Name

The name of the Product Code.

Description

Description of the Product Code.

SIC Code

The Standard Industrial Classification code for the industry.

Parent

If the Product Code is a subsidiary product code, identify the parent product code in this field.
