Application Ribbon Group Buttons records store information about a particular button in a ribbon. See Defining Ribbon Group Buttons for details.

Action Properties Tab

This tab defines the action that occurs when a user clicks this ribbon button. The properties vary depending on the Action Type selected. See Button Action Types for details.

Appearance Tab

Tool Tip Text

The text that appears when a user hovers over the button (if a Tool Tip with Culture String is not specified).

Tool Tip with Culture

If localizing the system for other cultures, this specifies the Culture String to use for this button's tool tip. See Working with Culture Strings for more information.

Small Image

The image in the Aptify Object Repository to display for this button. The small image should be 16x16 pixels.

Large Image

The image in the Aptify Object Repository to display for this button. The large image should be 32x32 pixels.

General Tab

Name

The name of the button.

Display Name

The display name of the button as it will appear on the ribbon. This value is used if no culture string is specified.

Display Name Culture String

If localizing the system for other cultures, this specifies the Culture String to use for this button's display name. See Working with Culture Strings for more information.

Action Type

Identifies the button's action type. See Button Action Types for details.

Preferred Size On Ribbon

This field is reserved for future use. Aptify dynamically sizes the ribbon and buttons based on the space available.

Minimum Size On Ribbon

This field is reserved for future use. Aptify dynamically sizes the ribbon and buttons based on the space available.

First In Group

Identifies if this button should be the first button for a particular section of the ribbon group. For buttons that have this option selected which are not the first button in the group, selecting this option adds a line separator between this button and the ones previous to it. See Defining Ribbon Group Buttons for more information.

Priority

This value controls the order in which the buttons appear within the ribbon. By default, all buttons have a value of 100 and their order is based on their order within the button list.
