When a user adds an attachment to a record, Aptify automatically creates a corresponding Attachments record.

Attachments Tab

The Attachments tab lists any files relevant to the Attachments record.

General Tab

Name (Required)

The name of the Attachment.

Description

A description of the Attachment.

Category

Specify the attachment's category in this field. This links to the Attachment Categories entity.

Entity

This is the entity with whose record the attachment is associated. Taken together, the Entity and Record fields identify the record to which this file is attached.

Record (Required)

This field identifies the ID of the record that is linked to the attachment. Taken together, the Entity and Record fields identify the record to which this file is attached.

Local File Name

The name and location of the attachment file from which the user uploaded the file into Aptify.

Status (Required)

The status of the attachment. Options include Available, Checked Out, and Pending. This field is reserved for future use.

Check Out By

This field links to the Users service. It is reserved for future use.

Date Checked Out

This field specifies when the attachment's file was checked out, if applicable. This field is reserved for future use (the Attachments functionality currently does not support the Check Out functionality).

Compressed (Required)

This field is reserved for future use.

Encrypted (Required)

This field is reserved for future use.

Comments

The comments field contains any additional details relevant to the Attachments record.

Group Permissions Tab

The Group Permissions tab contains a list of all Attachments Group Permissions records, which define the groups granted permission to access this attachment. This tab is reserved for future use (currently, all users can access a record attachment).

User Permissions Tab

The User Permissions tab contains a list of all Attachments User Permissions records, which define the users who can access this attachment. This tab is reserved for future use (currently, all users can access a record attachment).

Versions Tab

This tab tracks the versions of an attachment's file. This tab is reserved for future use.
